There’s something that has always been
alluring to me about being awake when
everyone else is sleeping (even when
I was a little kid which must have been
glorious for my parents). Peering down
empty seemingly never ending dark
streets, the crisp night air, and of course
due to my obsession with all things
outer space the ability
to gaze upon the stars.

being named “Mary” is setting the bar
high.
I really cannot compete with her
magical baby mailbox of a uterus.
That’d be sweet if I could
immaculately conceive
like eight tacos
right about now.

for nearly two weeks

“Poetry surrounds us everywhere,

Getting into Heaven is hard I hear.
People are talking.
They are saying that
I have lost it.

ghastly stares out in public.
Here are some ideas I’ve come up with:
“Does that girl know she has metal in her face?!”
“Who did that to her?”
“Not sure if silver booger or…shmeh?!”
“I wonder if she chains all of her piercings together…?”

I suppose I’m just as curious about people
as they are of me.
