all of the sudden
a huge gaggle of geese fly over

I could see them
through my skylight.

Are they already
heading south?

I walked under the tree
on the way back in and noticed
it is FULL
of bees. Hundreds and hundreds of little
honey bees drifting from flower to flower.
I have never noticed them before,
I wonder if because it’s been in bloom so long.

This has been the best year ever,

I just took a drink of water because
I’m human.
