I woke up this morning
with these thoughts.
Thank you Lord for the rain
to water my elderly friends’ plants
and to stop the fires.

Then,oh Lord I hope
our friend isn’t getting wet
fishing today.

I’m so thankful to say…
I like working as a substitute teacher
I like the students and the staff.
Every day I go
I learn something new.
I enjoy being
a mother,
married to a pastor,
nursery director,
choir member….

The lines have fallen
in pleasant places.

I’m thankful for him
encouraging a few of the ladies
in our church to jump
out in faith and start leading us
