Noah caught a butterfly,
said he loves his life,
thank you for making me so happy
along with many other things he told us
this evening.

He keeps me grounded.
Without him,
who knows where I would be and doing
what.

Said it since day one, and for many
different reasons, he is
my hero.

Fall is my favorite season.
the start of cold days
(to wear sweatshirts and jeans)
The walk to and from classes in the cold,
homework with the window open with
no one to bother me,

Fall is always a
renewing time of year
To look back on,
to look ahead and
make new dreams.
remembering all

Pumpkin picking, apple orchards,
pumpkin candles, playing in the leaves
Halloween,
thanksgiving. transforming myself
in this season to who I am now

We grow up but Fall
was my life

Noah wanted to sleep
under the stars tonight
he told me.
And since we have there
old bedroom with the glow
in the dark stars on the ceiling,
he is laying on our bedroom floor
bundled up in blankets
counting them
