Mozart was actually born a girl;
her parents hid this fact from the public,
realizing that no amount of musical genius
could overcome the sexism so rampant in that society.
She and Salieri had been lovers;
she died in childbirth, which is
why Salieri blamed himself for her death.
As she had compsosed Church Music, the Catholic Church decided
it was better to have the public
continue to believe that Mozart
was a man.

Last evening (at the conclusion of the Bible Study
the pastor asked me to go to the piano and play.
The song that immediately came to mind was “Jesus,
He means all the world to me”
I remember so many
moments
solos
solace
“Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place”
For a few minutes
the memory was fresh in my mind.
Memories are wonderful that way.
But greater still is the Truth that lingers.
“His Truth is Marching On!”
