The robin at my window

The robin at my window
has made it his mission to peck
through the glass and kill me.
45 minutes.
I might have an anxiety attack.

I realized far too late
that at almost 25 years of age
I have no idea how
to take out the trash.

My dining room is very literally
glowing pink. It’s like the debutante
ark of the covenant.
It’s making me nauseous
a little.

Oh my god the robin
is back to kill me.

Mercy indeed

Invoking the oracle in the muddy
light of my living room,
paper lanterns and a colossal holly bush
sway violently in the wind outside.

The dying breath of winter,
a worried pressure gasping despite itself
in the final throes of its oppressive reign.
An afternoon
shadowed in white, shaking shivers from unsteady
hands on slippery streets, broken
by the mercy of the sun regaining
its grip on this hurtling rock,
standing sturdily between wide puffs of tenebrous steam
far above us,
poised for reprisal.

Mercy, indeed.

Begone, foul beast of Cold, and let us be
merry again.

Truth is now

Truth is
an expression of the true
self that exists
within us all.
You are an
infinite consciousness with
limitless boundaries
experiencing yourself subjectively
as a mortal human being with
great wonders that will happen in the
time-less, and
ever-present
now.

Reaching for the sky are the branches
of the earths dead sleeping friend.
Plastered beneath is a death of frost.
The air seems quite thin around this time.
The wind is silent but it’s temperature let’s you know it’s there.
It’s sunny today he thought.
Blur as he passes in that green wagon.
Layla.
She wasn’t fine but ran okay.
Took him where he needed to go.
Red lights and the colors of signs,
unrecognizable by the children in their back seats.
Listen to that sound…
Invisible waves creating what we call music..
Is that the kid.
Songs about seasons.
