edible plant part

I have a new explanation
for my slowing mind!
Animal, Vegetable, or Mineral?

My brain is a non-reproductive
edible plant part (vegetable)
and it is maturing.
This, of course makes
sense because many of
brain cells near the center
(the connection between right and
left hemispheres)
would be xylem of the stele,
and thus,
at maturity,
they would be dead,
double-cell-walled sclerenchyma!

Since these cells couldn’t
likely function well as anything but water
transport, my corpus colossum would become
very slow/ineffective in relaying things
from right to left or
left to right
through my brain-no es bueno.

I cleared the bookcase next to my bed off and thought, “Wow that was a lot. Glad I don’t have that many books though!” Then I opened my closet and gasped.

I’m a hoarder but only with books and cats
how did I buy all of these books
how did this happen it is not ok
if there is a fire or a silverfish infestation while I’m gone then I’m going to cry forever probably
how am I ever going to even attempt to read all of this
this is a nightmare and a dream come true
why is this the story of my life

yeah totally, accumulating 500 books in nearly 6 months is totally normal not awful at all
If only I could give them away! But they are all precious
children of mine, they are my childs.

I found a cat behind a stack of books

Misty morning to a sleepless night
raise my voice and praise God’s might
fire rained from the sky.

Jazz infuses my southwest drive
Ella reminds me my soul is alive
fire rained from the sky.

Hazy, hot Sunday, but my heart is stone
nice to know I’m not alone
because today
fire rained from the sky.

I was a vicious little kid.
we used to go down to Florida
every summer
for about a month &
would walk on the beach
twice a day.

My brother and I
would compete to see
who could crush more crabs
with rocks or
perforate
jellyfish
with sticks.

Hm.
