God made so full of uncommon, unmatchef things
There must be a compliment
Just as the stars are only as beautiful
as the void that makes them bright
There is someone
I can’t believe it is otherwise.
*God made you
*unmatched

Last night I dreamt I was
a male genie with royal blue
silk pants and found
my doppelganger dancing with a woman
shackled in chains in a secret
room emitting unbearably bright light.
“Your double is here” the woman said
and the other Genie as he opened
the golden doors spoke angrily
“I will kill him for there can only be one!”
When I heard this I ran as fast as I could
down labyrinthine hallways that led
to a garden paradise with a crystalline pool.
I jumped into the water and my Genie
doppelganger, not far behind, tackled
and strangled me. And then something
very bizarre happened.
We made love, and I
transformed back into
my mortal woman self.

“You know…in the new heaven
and new earth, none of this
[the “death-waters”] will be here…”
“…where will the whales go?!? Are they going
to swim in the river of water of life??”
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but
My words shall by no means pass away.”

Holding on to the last branch
of the tree that was planted before my birth.
Lookin’ closely at the intertwining
veins on the leaves that soaks in the sun.
I do believe the truth is on it’s way.
I’ll leave it to a higher power
to make any decisions. if need be.
I do believe it’s for the better.

Once upon a time there was a swan
who was beautiful at swimming.
Everyone watched her swim all the time.
They never went away from her
because they loved the way she swam.
She did not like it.
She wanted to be alone.
Jewel the swan did not like it.
She said, “I would like to be alone.
I hate to be watched by them.
I wish they would stop. I could get sick.
They make me eat the food they throw. But why?”
“We like doing it,” said the little girl.
“But I do not like it,” Jewel said.
The little girl said to the people,
“The swan does not like it. We should stop.”
“But why?” said the people.
“I do not like it,” said Jewel.
“Oh,” said the people, “Let’s stop. Anyway,
we are tired. We will go home and sleep.
We will stay home.”
“Good,” said Jewel.
“I will move to a different country.
They will never find me there.
I will be happy and nobody will watch me there,”
she said, “I will move tomorrow. But where
will I move? How will I move if I do not know
where I live? I will move to California.
That will be good. I will be able to find my food alone.
I will not have to be fed. They think I am a baby!”

Did you ever sit out before the sun comes up?
Just before he pokes his face…
There is a bird that believes
the overture has just ended outside my kitchen
and sings and sings
to the lover that never responds
but he sings as if he has known her, and loved her
and as if she is worthy of a ballad of such splendor
that he will sing again tomorrow
with redoubled brilliance
because everyday is a new chance to win
the love he has never seen.
